Today has been rainy. This morning I took Margo outside and sat on the front porch while it came down, and we both just watched for awhile. As it slowed to a sprinkle, we walked out into it and felt the drops on our faces and splashed our feet in a few puddles. She kept turning back to look at me with the sweetest expressions.
All I can say is: seeing the world with new eyes, like I did this morning in the rain with my baby, is so incredible.

The rain makes me so so happy. And I agree, everything is magical again once you have a child.
ReplyDeleteAll her expressions are precious and so is when she snuggles on your shoulder. You have one sweet little girl. And this brought back a very clear memory of mine, playing in the leaves with William when he was little. These moments are the best.

ReplyDeletei think this same thing all the time! and isn't it great that you have a lifetime of these experiences to look forward to? just took the kids to red butte gardens where they have a children's garden. it was so fun to here lucas screaming, "oh mom! look at this!" about 100 times. things are so much more fun with kids around.

I love knowing that, after their first rain, their first trip to the beach, their first taste of food, they'll now be able to dream about something they had no knowledge of before. Your little girl is absolutely gorgeous, I love her name!
